GM CEO Mary Barra faces company shareholders.
Parents of the victims were present at the shareholder meeting outside of GM headquarters. Laura Christian, who lost her daughter in an accident, stated that she hoped to put pressure on Mary Barra and the rest of the executives to change the way that they are doing things.
Many GM victims want the company held criminally liable for the deaths.
When asked about GM CEO Mary Barra addressing shareholders, Mr. Hilliard stated that he, "....felt it was scripted. Her duty is to put a good face on a hugely tragic story. There is no doubt in my mind, and I've been telling GM this for months, that they have way under-counted the amount of deaths as a result of this defect. I currently have 70 families that have lost loved ones."
