GM Aware of the Problems Months Before Telling the Government

NBC investigates the GM ignition switch recall, where there are more than 1 million cars on the American roads that need to be fixed.  And General Motors was aware of the problems months before telling the government about this deadly defect.

CEO Mary Bara repeatedly told Congress that she did not become aware of the problem with the ignition switch until January 2014.

That GM had made the concrete decision that there was a defect, that they had to order the ignition switches, and they were going to have a recall on December 18th 2013, it's just mind-blowing.
