GM Ordered 500,000 parts 2 months before notifying the public and the federal government.
Emails show that the company was preparing for a recall ordering half a million replacement ignition switches for what it called an 'urgent field action.'
GM as a fact knew for 60 days that there was a defect and that they were going to purchase 500,000 ignition switches to try to fix the defect. They didn't tell anyone. They didn't tell their customers and they didn't tell the federal government.
