NEW QUESTIONS ABOUT JUST HOW LONG GM AND ITS TOP EXECUTIVES KNEW ABOUT THIS DEADLY PROBLEM WITH THE IGNITION SWITCHES
Email exchanges show an "urgent" order for half a million ignition switches on December 18, 2013, two months before the company alerted federal regulators. An attorney suing on behalf of some of the victims says recently unclassified emails reveal that GM top executives knew about the problem long before a recall was issued.
The faulty switches are linked to at least 30 deaths. GM faces trial in January 2016.
AT LEAST 85 ACCIDENTS DURING GM'S SILENCE
"At least 85 injuries occurred and at least 1 death during GM's active cover-up. Had GM quickly and immediately sent out a warning to their customers, no telling how many lives they would have saved." Bob Hilliard.
